Mental Health Services

Optima Care offers rehabilitation facilities for adults primarily affected by a learning disability or a mental health issue. Common to the services is a high level of commitment to providing an outcome driven, individualised care pathway to every service user.

We aim to cater for individuals who may be ready to make the ‘next step’ from hospital environments, but continue to display a level of complexity that is requiring a multidisciplinary approach. Our overall aim is to promote a culture of hope and recovery within a framework of positive risk management.

Since acquiring Family Care Homes in June 2011, we also provide residential services and care for adults with learning difficulties and special / complex needs across the whole of the South East region. Family Care Homes currently run 18 homes which provide over 100 registered beds and employ more than 200 qualified staff.

Through Family Care Homes we specialise in providing person-centred care which caters for the needs of each individual service user.

Our services include:

Brookhaven is a 21 bedded specialist rehabilitation centre providing care and support for adult men and women with mental illness and often with a presence of a mild learning disability. Both floors accommodate en-suite, gender specific bedrooms and a lounge. The ground floor houses an activity room, skills kitchen and skills laundry along with a games room.

The Hamptons

The Hamptons is a purpose built 10 bed rehabilitation service providing care and support to men with mental health needs. Individuals will usually be detained under the Mental Health Act. At The Hamptons we embrace the principles of The Recovery Model, in that we always endeavour to look beyond an individual’s diagnosis. We seek to do this through combining a culture of enablement and possibility with robust risk management principles.
